We are a revenue generating entity with a social purpose – we re-invest any surpluses back to the community

We believe that investing in education is the smartest decision you can make as it opens doors to endless possibilities. Education provides opportunities to empower people, cultivate creativity and improve confidence and self-belief. We strongly advocate upholding community values and ensuring our work garners impact and sustainability from the get go. Innovation is key, hence research and design is too. To move forward, we need to look at what works, and what doesn't, in order to continuously improve and stay relevant.

2020 will be remembered as the pivotal year for LeapEd.

In this year, LeapEd celebrated its 10th year anniversary. This in the midst of the COVID-19 global pandemic that made the whole world come to an abrupt stop and forcing everyone – individuals and businesses to re-assess themselves.

Changing overnight was uncomfortable, to say the least. However, with the support and camaraderie amongst the leadership team, we managed to navigate the uncertainties around us and chartered new paths, where needed.

'Screw your courage to the sticking place. And we'll not fail.' Shame that's from one of Shakespeare's biggest villains, but maybe we don't have to channel our inner Lady Macbeth to draw positive inspiration. 2020 was indeed a year in which we had to muster our courage – failure simply wasn't an option.
