1. What is CyberWira: Didik Anak Digital?
CyberWira: Didik Anak Digital is our National Campaign that aims to create awareness, educate, guide and supervise youths aged 13 to 18 on using the internet responsibly and safely. We do this via an online course, CyberWira - Digital Citizenship powered by LeapEd. CyberWira has 8 modules with structured and interactive quizzes and games, designed to help participants navigate the digital world confidently.
2. What was the rationale and thought process behind the creation of CyberWira: Didik Anak Digital?
We believe that every child deserves a great future, and they have the right to a safe environment, including in the digital world. They also need to understand how to leverage on the opportunities of our digital future. The programme was designed and developed collaboratively with our Malaysian ICT teachers from our Trust Schools based on the 3E model:
- Engaged Thinking: Promotes curiosity and critical thinking, and views technology as a learning tool that allows them to innovate, communicate, discover new information and create new products or services.
- Ethical: Building relationships based on humility, fairness, open mindedness, demonstrates respect, empathy and compassion in all they do.
- Entrepreneurial: The ability to identify and realise new opportunities and achieve goals through hard work, perseverance and discipline.
A Tahfiz school in Pahang then tested and assessed this course for suitability and compliance.
