In January 2011, LeapEd embarked on its first project of facilitating education transformation in Malaysian schools through the Yayasan AMIR Trust Schools Programme.

Yayasan AMIR is a Not-for-Profit Foundation incorporated by Khazanah Nasional Berhad in 2010 to drive the Trust School Programme through a Public-Private Partnership (“PPP”) with the Ministry of Education Malaysia. Yayasan AMIR Trust Schools are managed jointly by Yayasan AMIR and civil service principals and headmasters under the umbrella of the Ministry of Education Malaysia to improve student outcomes and school management capabilities. As of 2013, there are 13 schools in the programme. In 2014, the programme will expand to as many as 30 Trust Schools. Yayasan AMIR has procured the services of LeapEd as the education services provider for each of these schools.
